Recipe for Communion Bread

(This appeared on the Brethren On Line list group several years back--Hal)

1 and 1/3 cup flour
4 tablespoons crisco
8 tablespoons half and half

Cut crisco into flour (small pea size) and then add half and half. Mix together. Use small amount of flour on dough board Knead dough and make a long roll and cut into 10 pieces Roll into balls Roll each piece out a little larger than your cutter Make into patties Use wire-cooling rack to score/squares Place patties onto cookie sheet. and then use a fork to prick the patties. This eliminates bubbles in the dough.

Preheat oven to 300 degrees for 18 minutes

Place patties on cooking rack and then bag them

I keep mine in the freezer and thaw on Sunday morning.
