Family

The Snyders of Newport include my wife Mary of 44 years (in September) and me.

Mary is one of the Ahlborn girls of Columbus, Ohio, where her sister Debbie lives

Mike/Hal was fortunate to have had two sons (Michael & Mark) and two brothers (John & Richard).

Both boys are graduates of East Carolina University. Michael lives in Havelock with his wife Kate, their daughter (my granddaughter) Meaghan, and two other kids (C. J. and Melanie) from Kate's previous marriage. Michael is in contract work (he's in Quality Control = edits publications that his company creates for the Marine Corps Air Station in Havelock, which is about 7 miles northish from Newport). Kate is due to graduate from ECU this Spring. Meaghan is in 3rd grade at E. W. Gurganus Elementary School in north Havelock; C. J. attends Havelock High School; and Mel attends Tucker Creek Middle School, which is a year-around school just north of Havelock.
